Three family members arrested for role in kidnapping of two children
The two children are 9 and 13
Three individuals have been arrested for their role in kidnapping a 9 and 13 year old.
These individuals were family members. Reports say that one of the individuals, Cynthia Hodges, was the biological mother, who had lost parental rights to the state of Texas, according to the McDonald County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office said Texas investigators contacted local authorities in the area on Tuesday, July 20, regarding the whereabouts of the children. Texas authorities said that she then fled the state after locating them at a foster home.
Following an investigation, the McDonald County Sheriff’s Office learned the biological mother and her parents, Jimmy and Francis Hodges, were staying at an RV park in Pineville, MO.
Each of the individuals were wanted for two counts of interference with Child Custody.
Authorities found the children hidden in a cupboard under a bed in the RV.
