Freeman Cardiologist “For the good of the community, please get the vaccine.”
Freeman Cardiologist Doctor Robert Stauffer issued a plea for those that are not vaccinated to get the vaccine.
According to Dr. Stauffer, because of the low vaccination rate in southwest Missouri, we could have a much bigger outbreak of covid in the fall.
He stated that the vaccine takes a couple of weeks after the second shot to take full effect, so now is the time to prevent a much larger covid outbreak.
Stauffer told Newstalk KZRG that the side effects are minor compared to the effects of getting covid. “I’ve been at the bedside of covid patients. I know what it looks like when patients die from covid. I have not seen anyone that has been vaccinated get issues like that. For the good of the community, please get the vaccine.”
