Motorcycle crash involving deer injures two Sunday night in Jasper County
The incident happend around 7:45 PM on Gum Road
A one-vehicle accident involving a deer caused serious injuries to the driver and their occupant Sunday evening.
The incident happened around 7:45 PM on Gum Road about three miles north of Reeds in Jasper County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred as 29-year-old Reeds resident Isaac Freeland was traveling via motorcycle when he struck a deer in the roadway. Both Freeland and his passenger 26-year-old Taylor Bass were ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.
They were taken to separate Mercy locations in Joplin and Springfield for treatment.
