2 shot dead in St. Louis

(AP) — Police in St. Louis are investigating the deaths of two people found shot to death inside a car over the weekend.

Police say officers were flagged down by firefighters early Saturday morning in the Downtown West neighborhood, where the bodies were found.

Police say firefighters found the bodies of 29-year-old Mark Parker of St. Louis and 22-year-old Lea Kent of University City inside the car.

Both had been shot and were declared dead at the scene.

Police have not released information about any suspects in the case.
