Man from Goodman sustains serious injuries following Sunday afternoon crash

Briley was cited for numerous charges after the incident

A Sunday afternoon crash in McDonald county on Route F about 7 miles west of Anderson caused serious injuries to the driver involved.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash report says 54-year-old Goodman resident Billy Briley was driving westbound when his vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and overcorrected. The vehicle then overturned in the road and then rolled off the left side of the roadway.

Briley suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Freeman West Joplin.

Briley was cited for DWI, driving while revoked, displaying the platers of another, careless and imprudent driving, failure to register motor vehicle, no insurance and not wearing a seat belt.
