Missouri bear hunt coming this fall
The Missouri Department of Conservation has chosen the first-ever bear hunters for Missouri’s upcoming bear season.
6,335 people applied for randomly drawn permits to participate in Missouri’s first regulated bear season.
Each applicant paid $10 for the chance at a permit. Four hundred permits will be issued but only 40 total bears will be killed before the season will be halted.
The season runs October 18th through the 27th in Missouri’s three bear management zones in the southern half of Missouri.
