Tuesday morning crash claims the lives of two people in Southeast Kansas
The incident happened in Crawford County
A two-vehicle crash took the life of two people on Tuesday at 7:25 AM in Crawford County.
The incident happened at the US 69 52 mile marker, around 12 miles south of Fort Scott.
The Kansas State Highway Patrol report says 50-year-old Fort Scott resident David Ross crossed the center line with his vehicle and collided with 63-year-old Mapleton resident George Danley; both drivers died during the incident.
One occupant of Danley’s vehicle, 13-year-old Levi Hochstetler, survived with no injuries.
Hochstetler was wearing a seat belt; the drivers involved in the accident were not using safety restraints.
