Longtime local police chief to retire

A longtime local public servant is set to retire this week.

Duquesne police chief Tommy Kitch has decided to take more time for other pursuits.

Kitch has worked 17 years in Duquesne and over a decade with other departments.

A reception in his honor will take place from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Duquesne City Hall.

The reception is open to the public.
