Celebration of Life for Galena’s Bill Hall slated for July 24th
Galena Fire Chief Bill died last April at age 82 but that’s when the pandemic was raging and no public funeral was held.
Now, the dangers of COVID-19 appear to be easing and Hall’s Celebration of Life has been scheduled for 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 24th at the Galena Fire Station.
A spokesman for the Galena Volunteer Fire Department tells NewsTalk KZRG the Celebration of Life is open to the public.
Hall became chief in 1985. He also had worked as an educator, holding several positions in the Joplin public school system over the years.
Bill Hall was a driving force behind the annual “Galena Days” celebration.
