Kansas Governor Laura Kelly announces appointments to various administrations

Kansas Governor Laura Kelly announced several administration appointments today.
Appointed to the Kansas Board of Examiners in Optometry was Dr. Lora Durst of Topeka; this Board administers and enforces the provisions of Kansas Optometry Law.
Dr. Diedrick Graham, of Lawrence County, was elected to the Fire Service Training Commission, which provides traveling instruction services to train firefighters in the jurisdictions of the state.
Appointed to the Governor’s Behavioral Health Services Planning Council was Ric Dalke, of Hutchinson, and Shane Hudson, of Salina.
A new release from Governor’s Laura Kelly’s Office says, “The purpose of the Council is to advise the Governor on adult, adolescent, and children’s services issues; review the Block Grant Plan and make recommendations; serve as an advocate for adults with a serious mental illness, children with a serious emotional disturbance, and other individuals with mental illnesses or substance use disorders; and to monitor, review, and evaluate the allocation and adequacy of services within the State.”
