HAM radio demonstration slated for 1 p.m., June 26-27th
If you’re a fan of Hams, in this case HAM Radio, the Salvation Army of Joplin plans to take part in ARRL Field Day 2021 later this mornth.
ARRL is the national association for amateur radio. Every June, more than 40,000 hams in North America set up temporary transmitting station to demonstrate ham radio’s service to communities and the nation.
In Joplin, they’ll set up on the Salvation Army parking lot at 320 E. 7th in Joplin on June 26th and 27th.
The effort is being led by the Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network (SATERN).
The demonstration gets underway at 1 p.m. and everyone is invited.
