MSHP reports a man drowned over the weekend in central Missouri

(AP) – The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a man drowned over the weekend in a central Missouri lake. The patrol says 77-year-old Paul Becker, of Crocker, drowned Sunday afternoon after falling out a boat on Rinquelin Trail Lake in Maries County. The patrol says Becker was in a fishing boat that was drifting when he went into the water and did not resurface after falling in. Investigators say Becker was not wearing a life jacket when he went overboard.
