Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office seeking two escaped inmates

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in finding two escaped inmates, according to a posting from the group’s Facebook Page.

Mark Gerald Hopkins the Second and Michael Wayne Martsolf escaped from Cherokee County Jail in Columbus around 11:00 PM Monday, May 24.

Hopkins was being held on trial for a double homicide; Marsoft was incarcerated for drug related crimes.

Both individuals have extensive tattoos throughout their bodies.

The suspects may be in a 2008 White Honda Accord with the license plate Missouri LG2X0F, which reportedly fled from the local law enforcement jail around 3:19 AM.

Both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
