Starting today, employees of Walmart and Sam’s Club will be able to work mask less following appropriate protocol
These announcements come after consideration of the latest CDC guidance.
Starting today, May 18, U.S Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Supply Chain workers who have been fully vaccinated will not need to wear a mask, according to a Walmart news release.
In addition to this, a $75 dollar reward will be provided to associates as a thank you for getting the vaccine.
These actions are being taken based on the latest CDC guidance, which says it is safe for fully vaccinated people to stop wearing masks in most indoor and outdoor settings.
The news release further explains the protocol for working without a mask:
“To be eligible to work without a mask, associates need to answer “yes” to the vaccination question in the daily health assessment. (Health assessments will continue for all associates.) If you are not vaccinated, we expect you to answer “no” and to continue to wear a face covering.”
