The JPD has released the name of the individual who died in Saturday crash

The Joplin Police Department has released the name of the individual who died during a crash in Joplin Saturday afternoon at 32nd Street and Connecticut Avenue.

26-year-old Chanz Olson was driving westbound on a motorcycle on 32nd Street, when he collided with a truck that was driving eastbound.

That vehicle was attempting to make a northbound turn onto Connecticut Avenue.

Olson was transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The occupants of the truck, a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, was not injured.
