Man from Anthony, KS faces 59 months in prison following December stabbing

A man from Anthony, KS has been sentenced to almost five years in prison for the attempted second-degree murder of another 18-year-old, according to Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt’s Office.

Brian Sandoval was sentenced in Harper County District to 59 months in prison followed by three years of post-release supervision and to pay $9,390.46 in restitution to the victim.

Previously, Sandoval pleaded guilty in March to one count of attempted second-degree murder for stabbing the victim in December 2020.
