Missouri Department of Natural Resources has temporarily closed Roaring River State Park

The park may re-open Sunday, May 2 if floodwater recedes

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has temporarily closed the campgrounds at Roaring River State Park, according to an MDC news release.

The MDC will continue to allow fishing, but anglers may be restricted in some areas due to flood clean-up efforts.

The park’s campgrounds could re-open as early as Sunday, May 2 if floodwater recedes to safe levels and cleanup goes well.

After heavy flooding on the Roaring River and other water ways, the park’s campgrounds and fishing areas were quickly evacuated April 28th.
