Medicaid expansion budget on Senate floor Wednesday
The Missouri House has given final approval to a 34-point-one billion dollar state operating budget, a budget that does not contain funding for Medicaid expansion.
In August, 53 percent of Missouri voters approved Medicaid expansion, although it failed in 105 of the state’s 114 counties.
Senate President Dave Schatz tells KZRG News that he expects the budget to hit the Senate floor on Wednesday. Senate Democratic Leader John Rizzo tells Missourinet that he fully anticipates that a vote to fund Medicaid expansion will happen on the floor when it comes up for debate.
