Mark McCloskey considering run for US Senate
He would be pursuing retiring Senator Roy Blunts seat
An attorney from St. Louis who stirred up controversy last year when he armed himself and confronted Black Lives Matter protesters outside his home is considering a run for a U.S. Senate seat.
Mark McCloskey told Politico on Tuesday, “I can confirm that it’s a consideration, yes,”
McCloskey would be pursuing the seat of retiring Missouri US Senator Roy Blunt, who has served in the senate since 2011.
Both Mark and his wife Patty were charged last year with unlawful use of weapons and tampering with evidence following the event.
