Missouri Southern State University’s Environmental Health & Safety Club will host a campus clean-up event in celebration of Earth Day on Thursday, April 22 at Missouri Southern State University.
From an MSSU news release:
“The campuswide event will focus on four areas: the native tallgrass prairie, the cross-country course, the riparian area of Turkey Creek, and along Newman Road, west of campus.
Thirteen teams consisting of faculty, staff and students – nearly 100 participants in all – have signed up to work in the assigned areas. Teams will submit photo proof of completion, and those separating trash from recyclable items will be entered into a drawing for a $100 prize.
The individual who finds the most unique item will receive a special award, said Dr. Teresa Boman, associate professor biology/environmental health and safety.
