Governor Mike Parson appoints new Director of Missouri DHSS

Today, Governor Mike Parson has named the new Acting Director of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, according to a news release from his office.

Effective immediately, Deputy Chief of Staff Robert Knodell will take the new title.

Knodell has served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Parson since 2017.

Knodell also played an integral part in the state’s Covid-19 response efforts and has taken a leading role in vaccine rollout and distribution in Missouri.

The former Director of MDHSS, Dr. Randall Williams, announced his resignation to Governor Parson earlier today.
