Two injured in crash near Carthage

An accident 8 miles north of Carthage on M highway just before 6 p.m. Friday evening resulted in moderate injuries to two people.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Dakota Meseke of Carthage drove into the path of a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Brenda K. Thenikl of Pittsburg.

Meseke was not injured.

Thenikl and a passenger in her vehicle, 53-year-old Carrie L. Lee of West Plains, suffered moderate injuries.

Thenikl was transported to Mercy Joplin. Lee was taken to Mercy Hospital in Carthage.
