Monday evening car crash sends two people to a nearby hospital due to injuries
The crash occurred on Missouri Highway 43 and Baseline Blvd

A Missouri State Highway Patrol report says that 66-year-old Sheldon resident John Williams was traveling on Missouri Highway 43 when was hit by a vehicle traveling on Baseline Blvd that failed to stop at a stop sign just before 11 PM.
As a result, Williams was ejected from his vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries; Williams was transported to Freeman West Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle that failed to stop, 57-year-old Carthage resident Marta J. Perez-Sian, was not injured in the crash.
She was however arrested and charged with Felony DWI.
Additionally, 36-year-old Jose M Puac, a passenger in Sian’s vehicle, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital Joplin.

Two people were rushed to a hospital after suffering injuries during a Monday evening crash, which occurred just before 11 PM around Missouri Highway 43 and Baseline Blvd.
Two cars were reportedly involved.
METS, Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputies, and the Tri-Cities Fire Department all responded to the scene.
Reports say a driver involved in the crash was intoxicated and cited for Felony DWI.
