Annual street project begins in Joplin Monday
On Monday, weather permitting, city street work begins in Joplin.
The City will begin its annual milling and paving project.
Work is scheduled on South Jackson Avenue from McIntosh Circle to the city limits at 44th Street; and on Annie Baxter Avenue and Empire Avenue from 17th to 20th.
Any two-lane streets, such as South Jackson, that are to be paved will remain open with flaggers to direct traffic.
Delays can be expected. If you travel those streets, you’re advise to use caution and, if possible, find alternate routes.
