Robbery in Parsons results in arrest of parolee
A heist at a Parson’s convenience store resulted in the arrest of a parolee from that city.
The robbery at the Pete’s store at 1430 S. Main was reported just after nine Monday night.
The suspect was identified as 24-year-old Jumani Coleman from Parsons. He was arrested without incident at a residence a short time later.
Coleman was also identified as being on parole through the Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC).
Parsons police officers located a number of items during a search including a pellet gun and money thought to have been taken from Pete’s. Coleman was taken to the jail in Parsons with charges for Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Theft requested through the Labette County Attorney’s Office.
Coleman’s Parole Officer also was notified.
