Senator Roy Blunt says there will be chaos if the S1 bill is passed
If the bill passes, state and local election administrators will face numerous election changes
When talking in a Rules Committee meeting on Sunday, Missouri US Senator Roy Blunt talked about the consequences if the S1 bill was passed.
Senator Roy Blunt said, “Once more this bill would require all of these changes to be made very quickly. So quickly, that should this legislation be enacted, chaos will reign in this next election and voters will have less faith in the integrity of the elections than they currently do.”
State and local administrators would be forced to make numerous changes to election processes if the S1 bill passes, including how they handle early voting and absentee ballots, how they maintain voter lists, and other significant changes.
