One man shot in McDonald County and taken to a nearby hospital.

An investigation is underway of a shooting in McDonald County.

Reports say that deputies were called to a residence Monday just before noon on Woodpecker Lane around Powell.

An argument reportedly broke out between two men, which led to one shooting the other.

The victim was taken to a Joplin hospital and treated for his injuries.

The suspect remains at large.
