Wind Advisory, Red Flag Warning in effect today, tonight

Strong winds, warmer conditions and low humidity are combining to create a fire danger in Missouri, Kansas and other states today.

The National Weather Service has a wind advisory and a red flag warning in effect for the KZRG listening area until nine tonight.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are present.

The weather service says to expect winds of 15 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph.

Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.
