Senator Roy Blunt describes democracy as a give-and-take situation.
Blunt says compromise has to happen or no progress with be made.
During a Sunday edition of NBC’s Meet the Press, Missouri US Senator Roy Blunt spoke about several topics;
He described democracy as a give-and-take situation.
Senator Roy Blunt said, “A democracy is very diverse people coming together and trying to reach the solution that can be reached at that time. I hope we get back to that. Now, you know, if there are two or three things, because of your life history or your faith, that you know you can never compromise on, that’s one thing. But when you come up with a long list of things that it’s either my way or nothing happens at all, you basically ensure that nothing is going to happen at all.”
Senator Blunt announced his retirement on March 8.
