OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The Muscogee (Creek) Nation is the latest Oklahoma-based tribe to offer vaccines to all Oklahoma adults.
The Okmulgee-based tribe says it plans to offer 4,000 first-dose vaccines during a drive-through vaccination event next week at Tulsa’s Expo Square.
Those seeking vaccination can book an appointment online at www.creekhealth.org/covidvaccine.
Oklahoma-based tribes have been receiving separate allocations of vaccines from the federal government.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Oklahoma currently ranks 13th in the nation with 25.9% of the population having received at least one vaccine dose, compared to the 23.3% national average.
