Vernon County Route BB will close March 22 for repairs

The Vernon County Route BB bridge over Moor Branch south of Nevada will be closed for up to 90 days beginning the week of March 22, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.

This bridge is part of Governor Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. 

Contractor crews will replace the old bridge with a new structure as well as instal a new guardrail at the ends of the bridge.

The project’s contractor is Mera Excavating LLC, Loose Creek, with an estimated completion date in late June and a total project cost of $1.9 million.
