Joplin birthday celebration coming up next Tuesday.

The City of Joplin’s 148th birthday is March 23.

To celebrate, a birthday event will be held from 6:30 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, March 23 in the Council Chambers of Joplin City Hall, which is located at 602 South Main Street.

Part of this year’s celebration will give citizens the opportunity to hear about Joplin’s Connor Hotel and Thomas Conner, the man who made this structure possible.
