Covid-19 vaccination event coming Wednesday to MSSU
90 Moderna doses will be administered tomorrow
The City of Joplin will offer an opportunity to receive the Covid-19 vaccination starting Wednesday, March 17.
The Health Department staff will offer about 90 first-dose Moderna vaccines on Wednesday, March 17 and another 100 first-dose Moderna vaccines on Wednesday, March 24.
Today, March 16, the City will open the scheduling phone line and online tool at 1 pm. You can register for this clinic by visiting joplinmo.org/coronavirus.
Individuals must have an appointment to receive the vaccine, which will be administered at Missouri Southern State University in the FEMA storm shelter.

This clinic is open to those individuals who are in the Priority Phases of Phase 1A and Phase 1B – Tier 1 and Phase 1B – Tier 2, which includes workers in education (K-12), communications infrastructure, energy sector, food and agriculture, government, and information technology.
