Two arrested after vehicle theft from Walmart in Lamar

Two individuals were arrested after a motor vehicle theft from a Walmart in Lamar on Friday, according to the Lamar Police Department Facebook Page.

The stolen vehicle was located around 10th and Grand.

36-year-old Lamar resident Ruby Austen was found nearby and was discovererd to be a passenger in the vehicle’s theft.

Officers later identified 28-year-old Kansas City resident Darias Davis as the driver.

He was located and taken into custody after a brief chase.

Both had charges filed against them for Motor Vehicle Theft and are being held in the Barton County Jail with a $2,500 bond.
