1 million dollars worth of meth siezed during traffic stop Saturday
Cooper County K9 Unit assisted in the drug recovery.
A late-night traffic stop by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on I-70 Saturday at the 98-mile marker resulted in a large drug seizure just before 10:30 PM, according to the Cooper County Sherrif’s Office Facebook Page.
A request for the Cooper County K9 Unit was made.
“Upon arrival, K9 Grimm was deployed and soon indicated a positive alert for narcotics. Upon search of the vehicle, approximately 75.8 pounds of methamphetamine was located and seized. The value of methamphetamine seized is approximately 1 million dollars.”
The state of Missouri is part of the MIDWEST HIDTA, also know as High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area.
