CDC loosens some COVID-19 guidelines
Freeman's Dr. Rob McNab explains . . .
New guidelines issued from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on COVID-10. The CDC says people fully vaccinated now can ease some restrictions but there are still important safety precautions needed.
“If you have been vaccinated and you’re in a room of otherwise vaccinated people, then probably loosening up those guidelines is a safe and reasonable thing to do,” said Dr. Rob McNab of the COVID Unit at Freeman Health System in Joplin.
“If you’ve been vaccinated and you’re going to a small single house group of people who have not been vaccinated but also aren’t very high risk to have severe disease, then that’s probably O.K.”
McNab says in riskier situations, the CDC guidelines remain essentially the same as they were before.
