Work could start soon on the Frisco Building
Work could start in the near future on one of Joplin’s oldest and most visible buildings.
Owners have filed a $2 million permit application to make repairs on the Frisco building at 6th and Main.
The building has been vacant since last year when apartment residents were forced to move out to make the repairs a reality.
The building was completely renovated about 20 years ago.
The Frisco once included a train station. It opened in 1913.
