Real estate agent jailed after accused murder-for-hire plot
CAMDENTON, Mo. (AP) – A 43-year-old Missouri real estate agent is jailed after being accused of conspiring to have her mother-in-law killed.
Leigh Ann Bauman, of Lake Ozark, is charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
She is being held on no bond in the Camden County jail after her arrest on Thursday.
The county prosecutor’s office said in a news release that Bauman agreed to pay $1,500 to have people in St. Louis make her mother-in-law’s death look like an accident.
The prosecutor said Bauman believed her mother-in-law was interfering with her relationship with her children.
