A pedestrian was kill during a one-vehicle accident Tuesday in Springfield.
The occupants of the car suffered injuries as well.
One person was killed during a motor vehicle crash Tuesday, March 2 at 10:40 pm in Springfield, according to Springfield MO Police Department.
The incident occurred when a 2014 Ford Escape driven by an unnamed individual suffered a medical emergency and left the roadway; They then hit a pedestrian who was walking on the sidewalk, later identified as 73-year-old Springfield resident Phyllis Tinsely.
Tinsely died at the scene as a result of the crash.
The driver and their passengers of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
