Severe Weather Awareness Week starts today with Preparedness Day
Every day will focus on a different severe weather hazard.
The National Weather Service will initiate a statewide tornado drill Tuesday, March 2 at 10 am.
Should hazardous weather be present at that time, the drill will be postponed.
Severe Weather Awareness Week’s schedule is: Monday – Preparedness Day, Tuesday- Tornado Safety Day, Wednesday – Lightning Safety Day, Thursday – Severe Thunderstorm Day, and Friday – Flood Safety Day.
