Two bodies discovered in Avilla residence Sunday evening
Update:
A suspect has been arrested in connection with the deaths of two individuals who were found deceased in an Avilla residence.
At 4:30 AM Monday morning, 24-year-old Reeds resident Kevin Johnson was arrested for homicide; Johnson is currently being held in the Jasper County Jail awaiting formal charges, according to a police report.
An autopsy has been scheduled for today.
The investigation is ongoing.

At around 5:30 PM Sunday evening, an individual was checking on a friend when they encountered a locked door to a residence in Avilla, MO, according to reports.
The individual could see someone through a window, but couldn’t get them to come to the door.
The Avilla Fire Department was contacted to assist with entry; Two deceased individuals were found inside the residence.
The victims have yet to be identified, so names have not been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
