New three-digit dialing code to replace suicide prevention number in 2022

The number 988 will become the national three-digit dialing code for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline in July 2022 and will  replace the current hotline phone number.

To help speed that along, Ozark Center, an entity of Freeman Health System, has received a  grant through the group in charge of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Ozark Center’s Debbie Fitzgerald says when an individual is in crisis, its important to make accessing support as easy as possible.
