A man from Neosho faces initial court appearance February 22 for child-sex crimes.

 A businessman from Neosho man who faces charges related to child pornography and child molestation will have his first initial court appearance Monday, February 22.

55-year-old Neosho Collision Center Owner Mikell Lee Cotton allegedly committed crimes in the years of 1997, 2003, 2009, and was arrested in January after an investigation conducted by the Newton County Sheriff’s Office.

The probable cause statement alleges Cotton touched a 12-year-old girl inappropriately. Cotton denied the allegations.

In a separate instance, another alleged victim, who was 12 at the time, also added to allegations that Cotton faces. They said that Cotton showed her pornographic materials on several occasions.

In the third instance, a girl experienced several instances of child molestation multiple times.

Cotton has denied all of the allegations.
