Admissions at youth treatment center halted after 3 arrests.
(AP) – Missouri health officials have stopped admissions to a suburban St. Louis youth residential treatment center after three employees were arrested on suspicion of abusing a child or failing to report it. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch obtained reports from Webster Groves police showing that a teacher, youth care specialist and intensive behavioral technician were arrested on Jan. 21. All three worked for the treatment center Great Circle. Police Chief Dale Curtis says it is alleged that a victim was struck in the head and dragged down a hallway. He says an ongoing investigation continues. A Great Circle spokeswoman declined comment on the allegations
