Joplin Police Department warns of phone scams.

The Joplin Police Department is warning the public of phone scams that are returning. 

The organization says scammers are mimicking the police department’s phone number and asking individuals for money and personal information.

The Joplin Police Department reiterates that they will never call individuals asking for money.

If you do receive a phone call from one of these scammers, contact the JPD to verify if they were actually trying to contact you.
