Missouri responds to CDC ranking
Missouri Governor Mike Parson responded to a CDC report that ranked the state as last in percentage of who have received their first shot of a covid vaccine. Parson stated that reporting delays by the federal pharmacy partnership possibly caused the ranking. That report has said only thirty thousand people in long term care facilities have received the vaccine while reports have said that one hundred and fifty thousand doses have been shipped and finished up giving shots yesterday. Doctor Randall Williams of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services said there could be as many as one hundred thousand more elderly Missourians who have received their initial dose have not been included in the state’s data.
