Former office manager makes not guilty plea in embezzlement case
A woman from Joplin waived her arraignment Wednesday and made a not guilty plea for her alleged crime of embezzling $100,000 in Jasper County Circuit Court.
43-year-old Miranda Wolf worked at Cornerstone Family Dental for 24 years, where she served as the office manager for three-years.
Worf left the business in January 2020.
A probable cause statement says that Wolf is accused of giving herself nearly $45,000 for a raise in 2019 and spending more than $27,000 on the company credit card on herself.
Wolf’s next hearing in the case is scheduled for February 17 at 1:30 pm.
