Colleges will use different assessment strategies for upcoming college students

Many aspiring college students are facing uncertainty as admissions exams and activities are canceled.

January and February college application deadlines are approaching quickly, with students not having SAT and ACT exam scores, community service records, and beaming resumes.

More colleges are making tests optional and evaluating students in different ways.

Chief Executive of the National Association for College Admission Counseling Angel Perez says that admissions officers will rely more on essays, grades, and coursework difficulty during the assessment of candidates.
