Casino safety for New Year’s
Missouri’s casinos are a popular place on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. State Gaming Commission Chairman Mike Leara (leer-a) says Missouri’s 13 casinos are taking safety measures to help protect patrons and workers against COVID-19.
“They are still required to abide by any local orders from their health departments, such as St. Louis County with 25% occupancy maximum. But many of the casinos have either turned off every other slot machine. Some of them have actually put plastic barriers between them,” he says.
Leara also says all of the casinos require customers and workers to wear masks. Some are requiring temperatures checks at the door.
