Polk County judge rules accused killer unfit to stand trial

A judge in Polk County has ruled Chad Baker unfit to stand trial for first-degree murder, domestic assault and armed criminal action in connection with the death of a 12-year-old boy.

Judge Lisa Henderson ordered Baker into state custody mental treatment, according to court records.

The case will be reviewed next June. Baker lived with his two sons in the Stockton area.

One child was found dead near his grandparent’s farm in Bolivar on August 16th.

Investigators say Baker suffers from schizophrenia.
